Directions to the Evening Star Cafe

From DC: Take the 14th St. Bridge to 395, exit left onto route 1 south towards Alexandria, through Crystal City. You will pass the Potomac Yard shopping center (Best Buy, Target, etc.) on your left, take a right at East Glebe, then a left at the next stoplight onto Commonwealth Avenue. Take a left at the next stoplight onto Mt. Vernon Ave. The Evening Star Cafe is on the corner of Mt. Vernon Ave. and Howell Ave.

From 495: Take the route 1 north exit off of the beltway. Follow route 1 north through Old Town Alexandria.  Take a left onto Pendleton, then a right onto West Street and then an immediate left at the light onto Braddock Road.  The next stoplight will be Mt. Vernon Ave., make a right. The Evening Star Cafe will be several blocks further on your left at the corner of Mt. Vernon Ave. and Howell Ave.

From GW Parkway: Follow the George Washington Parkway south to Alexandria. Make a right onto Pendleton St., then a right at the light onto West Street and then an immediate left at the light onto Braddock Road.  The next stoplight will be Mt. Vernon Ave., make a right. The Evening Star Cafe will be several blocks further on your left at the corner of Mt. Vernon Ave. and Howell Ave.
